an established record in the field of as-built data acquisition. Since 1996, our company has successfully offered a professional and reliable service, principally to clients in the Oil & Gas and Process Plant Industries.

It is one of our key beliefs at Survey 2 CAD that we should provide the most cost effective solutions possible for our clients. To this end, it has been our aim since our formation to reduce the cost of providing 3D as-built information, without affecting quality or accuracy.

All our personnel working on our projects are experienced Engineers, familiar with the complexities of working safely in challenging Engineering environments.

The benefits of 3D CAD technology have become evident since its first use in the 1980's. It is now recognised as an accurate and cost-effective means by which technology literate companies can achieve monetary savings and significantly reduce project duration's.

Our company uses High Definition 3D Laser Scanners, capable of capturing large amounts of information over a short duration. The data produced by these scanners allow us to generate accurate 3D as-built CAD models and 2D as-built Isometric drawings.

Typical working tolerances (generally specified by our clients) are within +/- 5mm, but often there is a requirement for more accurate three-dimensional data to within +/- 2mm, typically at tie-in locations. Our current methodology and equipment is easily capable of satisfying these tolerances.

All the information we provide is checked for accuracy and completeness during the model build process and again before delivery to the client.

We expect that by adopting an innovative approach to the provision of as-built data, we will be able to satisfy our clients' demands and a growing trend for larger models, while keeping the costs to an absolute minimum.

Having built up and trained a large team to create our own 3D CAD models from scan data, we have the capacity to undertake sub-contract work from supplied scan data. Our 3D CAD modelling software can import scan data from many formats including Leica, Z&F and FARO scanners.
